With extensive experience operating within highly regulated and technically demanding industries, we deliver comprehensive engineering, fabrication and installation services tailored to our clients' requirements.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join our expanding design team.

Rail Industry Experience Essential

This role is ideally suited to a CAD professional with previous experience working within the rail industry. Candidates must be comfortable interpreting engineering requirements and producing accurate technical drawings in accordance with Network Rail standards.

The Role

As a CAD Technician, you will play a key role in producing detailed technical drawings and engineering documentation for rail infrastructure projects. Working both independently and as part of the design team, you will support the delivery of engineering solutions from concept through to manufacture and installation.

Key Responsibilities

· Produce detailed engineering and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.

· Interpret structural, civil and mechanical engineering designs into practical working solutions.

· Work independently and collaboratively within the design team.

· Liaise with engineers, project teams and stakeholders regarding design requirements and technical queries.

· Support the development of engineering solutions to meet project specifications.

· Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors regarding drawings, specifications and design requirements.

· Assist in resolving technical and engineering challenges throughout project delivery.

Skills \& Experience

Essential

· Previous experience working within the rail industry.

· Proven experience using AutoCAD in an engineering environment.

· Strong understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

· Excellent organisational, communication and problem\-solving skills.

· Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

Desirable

· HNC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent engineering qualification.

· Experience working with structural steelwork or rail infrastructure projects.

· Knowledge of Network Rail standards and rail industry design practices.

Monday – Thursday: 08:20 – 17:00
Friday: 08:20 – 15:00
