We are seeking a self\-starting individual to join our logistics team In Worcestershire. As the Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for proactively canvassing new business selling the core products of our overland road freight division and have the responsibility of developing and maintain profit from new accounts and development of existing business. Handling all aspect of the customer life cycle from commercial sales, operations and customs and excise processing.

Your Responsibilities

• Actively solicit business for exports and imports throughout Europe.


• Assist and complete Tenders for nominated area


• Understand the Customer needs and provide solutions which meet their requirement to close business


• Telesales requirement to ensure enough new business appointments are closed to hit targets


• Receive and process customer orders


• Monitor and manage cost effective collections and deliveries


• Liaising with new \& existing customers to establish client relationships over the phone.


• Considering and planning the most effective route for freight


• Tracking the movement of freight using software and satellite technology


• Reporting back to clients, keeping them up\-to\-date with the progress of goods

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with in the logistics industry and a customer knowledge for European exports and Imports


• Thorough knowledge of both customs and excise processes required within Europe.


• Understanding of European Road freight logistics.


• A natural problem solver who thrives off challenges


• Strong skills using MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint


• Strong communication skills written and verbal


• Previous freight forwarding experience in either road / European transport at least 3 years

Experience:

• Logistics sales: 1 year (preferred)


• Import/ Export declarations: 1 year (preferred)
