Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklift equipment safely, and supporting overall warehouse operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment.
Duties
- Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the facility
- Manage materials handling tasks, ensuring accurate stacking and storage of products
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
- Maintain organisation of warehouse space to optimise workflow and safety standards
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs as needed, ensuring operational safety
- Utilise Warehouse Management System (WMS) software to track inventory movements and update records
- Support in basic mechanical repairs or troubleshooting of warehouse machinery when necessary
- Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with stock counting, inventory checks, and documentation processes using basic maths skills
- Proven experience operating a forklift within a warehouse or logistics environment
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management System (WMS) software is desirable
- Knowledge of equipment repair and mechanical systems is advantageous
- Previous experience in materials handling, shipping \& receiving, or related roles preferred
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures related to heavy lifting and equipment operation
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for inventory management and measurements
- Demonstrated ability to handle heavy loads safely and efficiently in a fast\-paced setting
