About the Role

As Food \& Beverage Manager, you will provide leadership and direction across all food and beverage operations at Cottesmore Hotel Golf \& Country Club. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for driving service excellence, developing a high\-performing management team and ensuring exceptional experiences for members, guests and event clients.

This is a senior leadership role focused on managing the performance of the department through your Assistant Managers and Supervisors. While maintaining a visible presence within the operation, your primary responsibility will be to lead, coach and develop your team, ensuring consistently high standards, strong commercial performance and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

You will work closely with the General Manager, Executive Chef, Events Manager and wider management team to maximise revenue opportunities, enhance guest satisfaction and deliver the high standards expected throughout the resort.

Purpose of the Role

To lead and manage all food and beverage operations across Cottesmore Hotel Golf \& Country Club, ensuring exceptional guest and member experiences, strong commercial performance, high service standards and effective team leadership.

The Food \& Beverage Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the department and for developing a culture of accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership \& Team Development

· Lead, motivate and develop the food and beverage management and supervisory team.

· Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.

· Manage recruitment, onboarding and retention of team members.

· Address performance, conduct and attendance issues in line with company procedures.

· Foster a positive and professional working environment.

Operational Management

· Oversee all restaurant, bar, conference, wedding and event operations.

· Ensure consistent service standards across all food and beverage outlets.

· Monitor guest satisfaction and implement improvements where required.

· Support operational teams during peak periods when necessary.

Commercial Performance

· Manage departmental financial performance.

· Control labour costs in line with agreed targets.

· Monitor stock control procedures and minimise wastage.

· Work closely with the Executive Chef to maximise profitability and guest satisfaction.

Compliance

· Ensure compliance with food safety, licensing, health and safety and company policies.

· Maintain all required records and documentation.

Person Specification Essential

· Proven experience in a senior food and beverage management role.

· Strong leadership and people management skills.

· Excellent commercial awareness.

· Experience managing large hospitality teams.

· Strong communication and organisational skills.

Desirable

· Hotel, golf club, country club or premium hospitality experience.

· Experience managing weddings and events operations.

· Personal License holder
