FOH Supervisor

FRONT OF HOUSE SUPERVISOR \| QUIRC, STRAFFAN

We’re looking for an experienced and personable Front of House Supervisor to join the team at quirc in Straffan, Co. Kildare.

Quirc is an independent café by day and restaurant by night, and we’re looking for someone who genuinely understands good hospitality \- someone who is warm and confident with guests, comfortable leading a team and capable of taking ownership of a busy service.

This is a hands\-on role with plenty of scope to grow as quirc continues to develop.

Full\-time and part\-time applicants are welcome.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We’re looking for someone with:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or senior FOH position


• Strong restaurant experience and a genuine understanding of good hospitality


• Good wine knowledge and the confidence to discuss our wine list, make recommendations and suggest pairings \- or open and keen to learn


• Bar experience \- able to confidently serve wine, beer and standard drinks. Cocktail experience is a bonus


• The confidence to lead a service, delegate and support the wider FOH team


• A natural ability to read a table and deliver warm, attentive service


• Experience dealing with guest queries and resolving issues calmly and professionally


• Strong food and beverage upselling skills and the confidence to make recommendations


• Experience with cash handling, end\-of\-day cash\-ups and closing procedures


• The responsibility to secure the premises at the end of service


• Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to remain calm during busy periods

Above all, we’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and treats the role with real ownership \- someone who leads by example, supports the team, notices the details and genuinely cares about the standard service they deliver at quirc.

AVAILABILITY

Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening availability is essential.

Evening service begins at 4pm, with shifts generally finishing between 11pm and 12am, so applicants must be comfortable working closing shifts.

Additional daytime hours may also be available.
