Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Warehouse \& Yard Operative
Location: Rugby
Hours: Monday to Friday, 5:00am – 2:30pm (40 hours per week)
PTI Express Limited is looking for a reliable and motivated Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Warehouse \& Yard Operative to join our team in Rugby.
This is a hands\-on role within a busy freight distribution environment, with the primary responsibility of loading and unloading palletised freight. The successful candidate will also assist with general warehouse and yard operations, ensuring high standards of safety, accuracy and housekeeping are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading palletised freight using a counterbalance forklift truck
- Carrying out routine daily vehicle and equipment checks
- Preparing trailers and vehicles for loading
- Manually handling consignments when required
- Rebuilding and securing pallets
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse and yard
- Following company procedures and health \& safety requirements
- Working efficiently to meet operational deadlines
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence
- Recent experience within a fast\-paced warehouse, logistics or distribution environment
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, proactive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Full UK driving licence desirable but not essential
