Design Engineer – Fire Protection
Reading (Hybrid)
£50,000 – £60,000 \+ Benefits
We're currently working with a leading fire protection business looking to appoint an experienced Design Engineer to join their growing design team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of fire detection and fire suppression projects, taking responsibility for producing high\-quality designs and supporting projects from concept through to completion.
The Role
As a Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
- Producing detailed technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Designing fire detection and fire suppression systems in line with industry standards.
- Preparing technical submissions, O\&M manuals and as\-built documentation.
- Coordinating with project managers, engineers, clients and installation teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Reviewing design information and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and client specifications.
- Providing technical support throughout project delivery.
Requirements
We're looking for someone with
- Previous experience within the fire protection industry.
- Design experience covering fire detection, fire suppression and/or sprinkler systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and ideally Revit.
- Experience producing technical drawings, schematics, technical submissions, O\&M manuals and as\-built documentation.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- A proactive approach and excellent attention to detail.
- £50,000–£60,000 basic salary (depending on experience).
- Hybrid working. (One office day per week)
