Location: London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance / Office Manager to join a successful and growing business in London. This varied role combines hands-on finance responsibilities with office management duties, making it ideal for an organised professional who enjoys working across multiple functions and contributing to the smooth running of the business.
The Role :
Finance Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable, including invoice coding, matching and processing using finance systems.
- Maintain supplier accounts, reconcile statements and prepare payment runs for authorisation.
- Process employee expenses and company credit card claims in line with company policy.
- Maintain the Sales Ledger, including allocation of receipts and resolution of account discrepancies.
- Conduct credit control activities, proactively chasing outstanding payments and maintaining accurate debtor records.
- Assist with month-end processes, management accounts preparation and account reconciliations.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Administer pension submissions and payments within required deadlines.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns for review and approval.
- Support year-end audit requirements and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Manage key supplier and service contracts, including facilities, maintenance, telecommunications and office services.
- Ensure office locations remain fully stocked with stationery and essential supplies.
- Support Health & Safety compliance and other business compliance requirements.
- Help maintain an efficient, professional and well-organised office environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping, finance or accounts role.
- Strong understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger, reconciliations and credit control.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP/accounting systems (SAP experience advantageous).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to work independently and as part of a team.
