History off the Page is an SME that offers children the opportunity to not just read about the past, but live it. We make a meaningful impact on Primary children’s learning and inspire children to immerse themselves in history through crafts, drama and role\-play.
Role:
The role is for 16\-24 hours per week with flexible hybrid working which includes 1 day per week at the office. Attendance at SMT and Board meetings is also required.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the company’s accounts
- Pay invoices and process expenses
- Credit card analysis and reconciliation
- Prepare year end accounts
- Prepare the annual budget
- Prepare payroll
- Prepare VAT
- Work with Xero and Excel (for everyday operations)
- Reconcile the bank account
- Understand and be able to look after credit control
- Manage the pension
- Attend SMT and Board meetings when requested
- Advise on company finances

We expect you to:
- Adhere to the company’s Health and Safety Policy both on and off the office sites
- Take reasonable care of own well\-being and that of other employees, through adherence to OTP’s Health and Safety Handbook
We expect you to:
- Adhere to the Company’s Safeguarding policies and procedures and promotes the welfare of colleagues and children in client schools by doing what is in the best interests of the child at all times, as detailed in OTP’s Child Protection Policy.
- Report any concerns to both the relevant person at the school and to the Managing Director at the earliest opportunity
We expect you to:
- Maintain confidentiality at all times, as detailed in the Contract of Employment
- Maintain professional and positive relationships with clients and with colleagues.
- Advise the SMT and Board about company finance.

We expect you to:
- Support colleagues by attendance at key meetings and events
- Takes an active part in team days to share expertise, skills and knowledge with colleagues
We expect you to:
- Train other team members, as required
- Attend and contribute to Company whole Staff days
- Contribute to the company’s process of self\-evaluation and development, for example, advising on adoption of new processes and financial resources
- Pro\-actively participate in the company’s appraisal scheme
We expect you to:
- Safeguard data and comply with data protection law as part of everyday working practice, as set out by OTP’s Data Policy and Procedures.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Managing Director, for example, advising SMT or Board about changes and budgets.
