The Opportunity
Looking for a secure, hands\-on engineering role where no two days are the same? Premier Wellness is a highly successful, family\-run company established in 2010\. As one of Scotland’s top\-performing service centres, we are proudly contracted to a major global fitness manufacturer.
Due to continued growth, we are expanding our close\-knit team. We service and repair premium fitness equipment in the country's most popular fitness hubs—including Pure Gym, The Gym Group, and JD Gyms—as well as hotels, schools, and private residential properties.
The Role
Based out of our hub in Coatbridge, you will travel across Scotland daily to deliver first\-class preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and technical repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Diagnostics: Investigate machine error codes, identify mechanical or electrical component failures using manuals, and execute swift, high\-quality repair resolutions.
- Preventative Maintenance: Strip down, deep clean, and replace worn components (belts, motors, cables) to ensure peak equipment safety and reliability.
- Equipment Installation: Assist with unboxing, assembling, moving, and safely powering up/testing brand\-new commercial gym installations.
- Client Facing Support: Act as the main professional point of contact on\-site, delivering excellent customer service to gym managers and clients.
- Logistics \& Administration: Keep accurate digital logs, manage stock deliveries at the unit, check delivery notes, and perform regular inventory checks.
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Flexibility: Our service window runs from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Typical start times are between 6:00 AM – 7:30 AM. Because you will be traveling to sites across Scotland (from Glasgow/Edinburgh out to Inverness, Aberdeen, and the Borders), some days will finish earlier and others later, with hours evenly averaged across the month.
- Overtime: Lucrative overtime opportunities will become available once you are fully trained.
- Location: Must be based close to our hub in Coatbridge for daily travel, unit opening/closing, and stock collection.
- Driving Licence: A full UK Driving Licence is essential, along with complete confidence driving various distances across Scotland.
- Physical Capability: This is an active, physical role. Fitness equipment is heavy; you must be comfortable lifting, shifting, and handling bulky components safely.
- Desirable Criteria: Prior experience in engineering, mechanical/electrical repair, property maintenance, or a strong working knowledge of gym equipment. Current *Manual Handling* or *First Aid* certificates are a distinct advantage.
Pay: £26,436\.80\-£31,200\.00 per year
