Recruiting EXPERIENCED staff only who can evidence as their last employer a minimum of 3 years practice within the same nursery setting

2 Positions left \- L3 \& L6 Early years qualified staff \- 5 stage interview process and then a start date agreed.

As a relatively new provision we have successfully expanded and are in the process of taking our time to recruit only the very best staff for our provision.

We are only looking for highly experienced candidates with either a Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare OR a full and relevant Level 6 degree qualification in Early years and Childhood studies or similarly accepted Degree.

About us

Our Lees Road setting was first established in January 2022 and was graded an Ofsted GOOD rated Provider \- Secured GOOD in all 4 categories in June 2024\. Our Ambition is to secure OUTSTANDING in our next inspection and we are recruiting long term staff to join us on our journey to outstanding.

We have recently opened up our Second Nursery in Coppice, Oldham due to high demand.

We have one position available in each of our nursery settings for an immediate start for the right candidate.

We are recruiting for various shift patterns: We pride ourselves in offering flexible working patterns to suit you \- your personal circumstances are considered.

Typical Full time shifts

Mon to Fri

7\.30am to 3\.30pm

8am\-3\.45pm

8\.30am\-3\.15pm

You must hold a Level 3 or Level 6 Childcare qualification relevant to early years. Candidates who have a minimum of 2 years consecutive experience at the same nursery setting in the Early Years sector are desirable and will be shortlisted first.

Candidates must also have passed GCSE/Functional Skills in both Maths \& English. You will need to provide proof of this together with your childcare qualification before you are invited for an interview.

Unfortunately we cannot consider you if you have a qualification in any other subject such as health and social care or other teaching subject not relevant to early years.

If you are a candidate with a degree or Level 3 award in Health \& Social Care you will not be considered.

Interviews will be held asap.

Our recruitment process consists of a 5\-stage process and we will strictly require a reference from your current employer.

You must have qualified in the UK.

Overseas qualifications will not be considered.

Accrued holiday is paid in August each year.

WEEKLY FOREST SCHOOL SESSIONS

We have an ambitious Forest School Curriculum and visit our Forest School site every Week, where our children take part in a a range of Forest School activities designed to allow children to learn, explore, build confidence and resilience outdoors \- You need to be ready to venture outdoors every Tuesday and have a love for the great outdoors!

You must be able:

● To deliver effective practice at all times, promoting children’s development and safety well.

● To implement our Islamic Ethos, the visions, aims and ethos of the A\-star Kids Islamic Pre\-School at all times

● To contribute to the improvement of the quality of the early years provision and curriculum and partake in our weekly outdoor forestry sessions for our Early Years children.

● To support other practitioners in developing the skills and behaviours that safeguard and promote good outcomes for children

● To have high expectations of all children and to demonstrate commitment to ensuring that they can achieve their full potential

● Establish and sustain a safe, welcoming, purposeful and stimulating environment where children feel confident and secure and are able to develop and learn

● Promote the use of informed observation and other strategies to monitor children’s activity, development and progress systematically and carefully, and to use this information to inform, plan and improve practice and provision

● Plan and provide safe, appropriate, child\-led and adult initiated experiences, activities and play opportunities indoor, outdoor and in out\-of\-setting contexts, which enable children to develop and learn

● Select, prepare and use a range of resources suitable for children’s ages, interests and abilities, taking account of diversity and promoting equality and inclusion

● Actively support the development of children’s language and communication skills

● Promote positive behaviour, self\-control and independence through using effective behaviour management strategies and developing children’s social, emotional and behavioural skills

● Sustain a culture of collaborative and cooperative working between colleagues

● Shape the policies and practices of the setting and share in collective responsibility for their implementation
