The Role
We are seeking an Experienced Bicycle Design Engineer to take ownership of complex structural design projects. You will design advanced bicycle components — frames, forks, handlebars, wheels and structural parts — using 3D CAD, FEA, and composite/metal stress analysis.
Most components are produced in composites or 3D‑printed titanium/aluminium, offering direct involvement in cutting‑edge manufacturing.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks or Rhino)
- Proven experience designing bicycle components
- FEA/stress analysis experience (Strand7, NASTRAN, Abaqus, SolidWorks Simulation etc.)
- Ability to work independently on complex design problems
- Strong understanding of metal structures and/or composites
- Experience designing for metal Additive Manufacturing
- Aerodynamics knowledge
- Experience with titanium or aluminium structural design
- Portfolio of bicycle or sports engineering projects
- Work on world‑leading bicycle and AM projects
- Exposure to titanium/aluminium AM, composites and advanced structural design
