SSC Space also has one of the world’s largest global networks of ground stations for satellite communications. We own and operate the Esrange Space Center in Kiruna, northern Sweden, with the aim of launching satellites in the near future.

We are now looking for an established and commercially driven leader to take on the role as Executive Vice President and Head of Business Area Connect. In this role, you will lead SSC Space’s largest business area, delivering mission\-critical satellite ground services through a global network of infrastructure and international teams.

The position combines full P\&L responsibility with strategic leadership, operational execution, and commercial development. You will drive transformation initiatives, strengthen ways of working, and ensure long\-term growth and competitiveness in a rapidly evolving global space market.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience from senior leadership roles with full P\&L responsibility

  • Proven background in commercial, operational or infrastructure\-intensive businesses

  • Experience from technology\-driven environments, preferably within the space sector

  • Strong understanding of complex, international organizations with multiple sites

  • Experience working in global environments across different geographies and cultures

  • Demonstrated ability to lead transformation, restructuring and change initiatives

  • Strong financial acumen including investment prioritization and capital allocation

  • Experience driving commercial strategy, sales growth and customer engagement

  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into customer value and business outcomes

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including senior leadership and board interaction

  • Experience from North American and/or European markets is highly valued

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Responsibilities
  • Lead Business Area Connect with full P\&L responsibility and overall accountability for strategy and performance

  • Drive transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, governance and ways of working

  • Develop and execute a clear commercial strategy, including go\-to\-market approach for key markets (e.g. the US)

  • Strengthening the commercial organization, including sales, product and customer focus

  • Lead and further develop an international organization of approximately 250 employees

  • Ensure alignment, accountability and collaboration across globally distributed teams

  • Define and execute a long\-term infrastructure and investment roadmap

  • Balance growth ambitions with financial discipline and capital efficiency

  • Drive product development initiatives and expand the value proposition to customers

  • Build a high\-performing, commercially oriented culture across the organization

  • Collaborate closely with executive management and contribute to overall group strategy
