The Role: Where Logistics Meets Critical Response, as the first point of contact in our 24\-hour Breakdown Recovery Centre, you aren’t just answering phones—you are managing real\-time transport incidents. You will act as the vital link between stranded motorists, commercial clients, and our recovery fleet.
Your Day\-to\-Day:
- Incident Assessment \& Routing: Use structured scripts and your logistics mindset to diagnose the nature of an incident and determine the most efficient recovery response.
- Data Mastery: Confidently navigate and update multiple specialized IT systems simultaneously without dropping the details.
- Crisis Coordination: Act as a reassuring, authoritative voice for stressed customers, managing expectations with empathy and clarity.
- Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with dispatchers and external recovery providers to optimize response times.
- The Logistics Mindset: Previous experience as a Control Room Operator, Transport Planner, or Despatch Coordinator is essential. You know how networks and schedules operate.
- Calm Under Pressure: An ability to handle conflict or high\-stress emergency situations with a level head and a reassuring tone.
- Rapid Information Extraction: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to pull critical data from a conversation quickly.
- Tech Savvy: Comfort with high\-volume call handling and proficiency in switching between multiple software platforms seamlessly.
