Electric Smart Meter Engineer/Meter Maintenance Technician
Please be aware this not a Smart meter engineer role
This role will require extensive travel covering mainly the Yorkshire Postcodes with some travel to the North East to cover the DL, TS, NE Postcodes. From time to time you may also be required to work away from home.
This role will be mainly focussed on the fault finding, repair and maintenance of residential customers smart meter.
Summary of the role
- You will be required to visit customers property to fault find, repair and maintain their smart meter.
- You will be given full training to be able to diagnose and repair a smart meter, this could be swapping the sim, reprogramming, battery resets or recommissioning.
- Travel will be required with this role, sometimes national. If/when you are required to stay away from home, all accommodation will be provided.
- Communicating with customers, dealing with any concerns they may have over their smart meter.
- On occasion, you will be required to complete some single phase electrical meter installation work.
- Basic Salary: £32,500
- Attendance Bonus: £150 per month
- Company Van, fuel card, uniform, mobile etc

- Experience of installing single phase electrical meters
- Full, manual driving licence with no more than 6 points
- Training will be from our head office in Haydock, Merseyside. You will be required to travel to Haydock to undertake a 1 week training programme plus 1 week mentoring.
- Ability to travel/work away from home when necessary

- Manual dexterity – Ability to use tools such as screwdriver, cable cutters etc
