The Faculty comprises of ten departments and, across all levels of study, has in excess of 10,000 students. This requires a high level of support and collaboration from our Ed Tech teams.

The Education Systems and Delivery team work alongside an Ed Tech Learning Design and Innovation team. Both sections work in partnership with one another to provide high quality support for all our colleagues in Departments to enhance the experience of students and staff in the undertaking of our Educational Mission.

Leading the Education Systems and Delivery team, the post holder will have expert\-level knowledge of the Microsoft 365 platform and all its related tools including, SharePoint, Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI, as well as a good understanding of SQL Database tools, and integration processes into our Learning Management System and University data systems.

The post holder will work to develop strategies and projects to implement and maintain cloud\-based digital content, applications, tools and repositories for Faculty use, including managing the complete life cycle of these digital services. The post holder will also have a hands\-on focus on digital analytics, quantitative and qualitative user insight in their faculty. What you would be doing

You will be responsible for a team of four, who will have their own domain of expertise, ensuring that together the Education systems’ support, development and delivery provision is focussed on improving the experience of both staff and student users. You will be required to identify technological solutions to challenges staff and students encounter, and work to deliver these in conjunction with the integrated delivery of university based systems to ensure the effective flow and quality of data. You will be required to work collaboratively across all departments, learning from and translating pockets of best practice, to ensure the Faculty is operating with a collective vision of Ed Tech service excellence.

What we are looking for
---------------------------

Degree or equivalent qualification preferably in the field of Computer Sciences, Maths, Engineering or Science.

Experience of using and managing SharePoint Online sites

Experience of delivering training (one to one or to a group)

Experience of managing a team to deliver excellent efficiency and utilisation of individual knowledge to maximise business effectiveness

Experience of processing, analysing, and interpreting large and complex data sets using appropriate database software or programming languages such as R or Azure/SQL, for communication to specialist and non\-specialist audiences.

Experience of analysing qualitative information to support evidence for the development of effective action plans and interventions.

Experience of quantitative data management methodologies and data visualisation methods and software

(e.g. R, SPSS, Power BI, Excel).

Proficient in Power Platform tools such as PowerApps, Power Automate and Power BI.

Experience of using and supporting the best use of VLE environments in Higher Education
