About the Role

We are looking for a Drivers Mate to join our busy kitchen and bathroom refurbishment team working across social housing properties in the Birmingham area.

This is a hands\-on role for someone who is reliable, hardworking and happy to get stuck in. You will work alongside our drivers and site teams, helping with deliveries, collections, waste removal and keeping sites clean and organised.

Key Responsibilities

\* Assisting the driver with deliveries and collections

\* Loading and unloading materials

\* Moving kitchen units, worktops and bathroom suites

\* Assisting with the removal and movement of rubbish and waste

\* Keeping properties, communal areas and work sites clean and tidy

\* Moving materials around sites safely and efficiently

\* Assisting tradespeople and site teams when required

\* Loading waste and materials into vehicles

\* Helping to organise materials and deliveries

\* Following all company Health \& Safety procedures

\* Representing the company professionally when working in tenants’ homes

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

\* Is physically fit and capable of moving heavy materials

\* Has a good work ethic and positive attitude

\* Is reliable and punctual

\* Can work well as part of a team

\* Is comfortable working in occupied properties

\* Takes pride in keeping sites clean and organised

\* Has good communication skills

\* Is willing to learn and develop within the business

\* Previous construction, refurbishment or delivery experience is advantageous but not essential

Career Progression

For the right person, there is potential to move into a Driver / Labourer or Driver / Store\-based role, with additional responsibility for materials, deliveries and site logistics.

Having your own suitable van could provide an opportunity to progress into a driver\-based position in the future.
