Bartender / Manager(s) – Winter Light Experience at The Belfry Hotel and Resort
Job Type: Zero Hours Contract \| 25th November 2026 – 2nd January 2027 (excluding Christmas Day)
Hours: Typically, 4:00pm – 10:00pm \| Times may vary \| Evening \& Weekend work \| Minimum of 3 shifts per week
Pay: £12\.71 – £14\.21
Location: The Belfry Hotel and Resort, Lichfield Road, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, B76 9PR
Work Pattern: Available and willing to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts throughout the event period.
Parallux is a new events company specialising in the creation of immersive seasonal experiences. Our flagship project is the launch of a brand\-new Winter Light Trail at The Belfry Hotel \& Resort.
We are looking for friendly, reliable and customer\-focused people to join our event team and help deliver an enjoyable experience for every visitor.
As a Bar Tender / Manager, you will be responsible for providing efficient and friendly service to customers throughout the event. You will work as part of the wider event team, serving drinks and snacks while helping to keep the bar clean, organised and running smoothly.
The Role
- Welcoming visitors and providing a friendly and efficient service.
- Taking and processing customer orders accurately.
- Serving a range of alcoholic and non\-alcoholic drinks and bar snacks.
- Checking identification when required and following relevant age\-verification procedures.
- Handling cash and card payments responsibly.
- Keeping the bar and surrounding areas clean, tidy and well organised.
- Restocking drinks, snacks and other supplies as required.
- Disposing of rubbish and recycling appropriately.
- Dealing with customer queries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Reporting any issues to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
- Assisting with opening and closing the bar.
- Supporting the wider event team where required.
We’re looking for someone who is:

- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Comfortable working in a business environment.
- Calm and professional when dealing with customers.
- Able to work well as part of a team.
- Comfortable working outdoors in winter conditions where required.
- Willing to get involved and help wherever needed.
Previous experience in a bar, hospitality, restaurant, café, events or customer service environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Experience in the following would be beneficial:
- Bar or hospitality work.
- Customer Service.
- Handling cash and card payments.
- Serving alcoholic beverages.
- Working in a business event environment.
- A zero\-hours contract covering the Winter Light Experience.
- Evening work within a unique seasonal event environment.
- The opportunity to gain experience in events and hospitality.

There may also be opportunities to pick up additional shifts in other event roles, such as Event Stewarding, subject to availability and suitability.

Pay: £12\.71\-£14\.21 per hour
Expected hours: 18\.0 – 36\.0 per week
