Domiciliary Carer

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. The ideal candidate will have experience in various caregiving settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care. You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well\-being while promoting independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.


• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.


• Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.


• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well\-being.


• Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.


• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety standards.


• Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to supervising staff.


• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a trusting relationship.


• Assist with behaviour management strategies as needed for clients with Alzheimer’s or dementia care needs.

• Previous experience in caregiving roles such as senior care, hospice care, or home care is preferred.


• Familiarity with assisted living facilities or nursing home environments is advantageous.


• Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial.


• Experience working with individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia is highly desirable.


• A valid driving licence is preferred.
