Vacancy: Dispatch and Logistics Coordinator – Carbon Fibre Manufacturing

Location: Blackpool

Hours: Full Time, part time will be considered

Type: Permanent

Salary: £27,352 based on 40 hours

Summary of Business: At Multi Ply Components Ltd, we have over 35 years of experience at the forefront of carbon fibre manufacturing. We proudly support the med\-tech industry by supplying advanced, life\-changing x\-ray imaging components to leading global medical corporations. Our expertise extends to supporting the wider composites sectors producing unique, high\-performance engineered components and assemblies for Marine, Automotive and wider industrial applications.

Summary of Role: Reporting to the Value Stream Lead and working within a fast\-paced manufacturing environment, you will demonstrate excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality under tight deadlines.

As a key member of the Shipping and Final Inspection team, you will play a vital role in ensuring products meet quality requirements and are dispatched efficiently to customers. This varied position offers a broad range of responsibilities, including but not limited to the below.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing shipping documents, utilising internal databases as well as customer and courier online portals

  • Assist with the communication with customers regarding their order lines, particularly any short or delayed deliveries

  • Assist with the communication with external suppliers and contractors, particularly relevant to outsourcing parts

  • Assist with the co\-ordination of other departments to ensure customer order fulfilment and on time delivery target is achieved

  • Completing paperwork and enter data into software to enable the tracking of orders

  • Completing final inspections, cleaning and packaging of parts ready for shipment

  • Help to assist with other departments regarding inbound deliveries, distribute where appropriate

  • Maintaining an organised, safe and clean working environment

  • Always ensuring adherence to health and safety requirements

  • Assist with monitoring stock levels

  • When required delivery and/or collect parts from sub\-contractors (using company van)
Key Skills (person specification):
  • Strong aptitude with a proactive attitude

  • Willingness to learn new skills

  • Computer literate and familiar with MS Office (word/excel/outlook)

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately

  • Comfortable using hand tools, such as scissors/Stanley knives

  • Good written and verbal communication skills with colleagues, suppliers and customers

  • Export/import and customs knowledge/documentation *(desirable, not essential)*

  • Prior knowledge of using systems including but not limited to programmes such as SAP *(desirable, not essential)*

  • A team player who is helpful, flexible and cooperative

  • Full UK driving license
