Metron designs and manufactures world‑leading bicycle components used in Olympic, World Championship and Grand Tour victories. We specialise in metal Additive Manufacturing, advanced composites and high‑performance structural design.
Alongside bicycle engineering, we also work on advanced projects in motorsport, sailing, medical and aerospace sectors.
The Role
We are looking for a Design / Mechanical Engineer to join our small, high‑performance engineering team. You will design advanced bicycle components — frames, forks, handlebars, wheels and structural parts — using 3D CAD, FEA and metal stress analysis.
Most components are produced in\-house using 3D‑printed titanium/aluminium, giving you hands‑on exposure to cutting‑edge manufacturing.
This is a rare opportunity to work on some of the world’s most advanced cycling products.
Requirements
Essential
- Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Composites or similar
- 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks, Rhino or other high\-end CAD)
- FEA/stress analysis experience
- Analytical and problem‑solving ability
- Good communication skills
- You must have permanent right to work in the UK (British citizen, ILR, settled/pre‑settled). Graduate/Post‑Study visas cannot be accepted.
- Exposure to metal Additive Manufacturing
- Experience with titanium/aluminium structures
- Interest in bicycle engineering or elite‑level sport
- Work on world‑leading bicycle and AM projects
- Real responsibility in a small, agile engineering team
