iCare Dental is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced General Dentist with a Special Interest in Orthodontics to join our friendly and growing private dental team in East London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who enjoys providing high\-quality general dentistry but also has a strong interest and experience in orthodontic treatment.

The position will initially be for one weekday per week plus alternate Saturdays, with the potential to increase sessions as the patient base develops.

At iCare Dental, we provide a broad range of private dental treatments, from routine general dentistry and hygiene care through to cosmetic dentistry, smile makeovers, orthodontics and dental implants.

We are looking for someone who is confident, ethical and patient\-focused, and who would like to develop a long\-term relationship with the practice and our patients.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide a combination of general dentistry and orthodontic treatment, according to their training, experience and competency.

The role may include:

• General dental examinations and treatment


• Restorative and preventative dentistry


• Cosmetic dentistry


• Orthodontic consultations and treatment planning


• Clear aligner treatment


• Fixed orthodontic treatment, where appropriately trained and competent


• Monitoring and reviewing orthodontic cases


• Working closely with our nursing, reception and clinical teams


• Maintaining comprehensive clinical records and providing high standards of patient communication and consent

We are particularly interested in finding a dentist who would like to develop and grow the orthodontic side of the practice, while continuing to provide general dentistry.

The practice is conveniently located in East London E16, opposite the Cable Car, with good transport connections.

Requirements

Applicants should:

• Be fully registered with the General Dental Council (GDC)


• Have appropriate professional indemnity/insurance


• Have appropriate experience and training in orthodontic treatment


• Be confident providing general dentistry


• Have excellent communication and patient\-care skills


• Maintain high standards of clinical governance and record keeping


• Be committed to ongoing CPD and professional development


• Have the right to work in the UK or otherwise meet applicable immigration requirements

Specialist registration in Orthodontics is not essential, as this position is suitable for a general dentist with appropriate postgraduate training, experience and a special interest in orthodontics.

Working Pattern

One weekday per week plus alternate Saturdays, we are happy to disucss alternative arrangements.

There may be opportunities to increase the number of sessions in the future as the orthodontic and general dental patient base develops.
