The Opportunity
This is a self\-employed associate position offering the opportunity to work independently within a supportive private practice environment.
You will have the autonomy to develop your own therapy list, build strong patient relationships and contribute to the continued growth of therapy services within the practice.
For the right individual, this role offers genuine scope to shape and grow therapy services within the practice, supported by an established patient base and a team committed to collaborative care.
We are looking for someone who combines clinical excellence with strong communication skills, helping patients understand their treatment options and supporting them to achieve and maintain excellent oral health.
Success in this role will come from building trust with patients, delivering consistently high standards of care and recognising opportunities to improve patient outcomes through preventive and restorative treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering the full scope of Dental Therapy treatment within your competencies and GDC guidelines
- Providing periodontal treatment, scaling and polishing, preventive care and oral health education
- Carrying out restorations for adult and paediatric patients
- Taking radiographs and digital scans where appropriate
- Administering local anaesthetic \- where qualified
- Providing tooth whitening treatment under prescription
- Working closely with dentists and the wider team to support comprehensive treatment plans
- Identifying opportunities to improve patients' oral health and confidently discussing appropriate treatment options
- Helping patients understand the benefits of treatment and supporting them to make informed decisions about their care
- Building strong patient relationships that encourage long\-term attendance, loyalty and referrals
- Helping to develop and grow therapy\-led services within the practice
- Maintaining high clinical standards and contributing positively to the wider team
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a GDC\-registered Dental Therapist with appropriate indemnity cover
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is confident discussing treatment recommendations and preventive care with patients
- Understands the importance of patient education and engagement in achieving positive treatment outcomes
- Is commercially aware and understands how excellent patient communication, education and clinical care contribute to the growth of therapy services within a private practice
- Takes ownership of their diary and is motivated to build a successful patient base
- Is proactive, reliable and committed to continuous professional development
- Enjoys being part of a collaborative team and contributing to a positive practice culture
