We are seeking a professional and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our established dental practice. This vital role involves managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, a welcoming demeanour, and prior reception or administrative experience. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a positive first impression

  • Manage appointment scheduling efficiently, including confirming, rescheduling, and cancelling as necessary

  • Handle patient check\-in and check\-out processes with accuracy and attention to detail

  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the practice management system

  • Answer phone calls promptly, providing courteous assistance and directing enquiries appropriately

  • Process payments and insurance claims accurately and efficiently

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, correspondence, and maintaining a tidy reception area

  • Support the dental team with clerical duties to ensure seamless daily operations
Skills
  • Proven office experience or administrative background with excellent organisational skills

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional manner

  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast\-paced environment

  • Proficiency in using computer software, including practice management systems and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in record keeping and data entry

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive patient information discreetly

  • Prior experience in a healthcare or dental setting is essential; training will be provided for specific duties
