Dental Nurse Qualified/Trainee

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists, ensuring smooth clinical operations and delivering excellent patient care. Duties

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.


• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready.


• Provide patients with pre\- and post\-treatment instructions, ensuring they understand their care plans.


• Maintain accurate patient records and update digital systems efficiently.


• Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and managing patient correspondence.


• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.


• Offer reassurance and support to anxious patients, fostering a calm environment.


• Manage stock levels of dental supplies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in patient care within a dental setting is preferred but not mandatory as we can supply adequate training for this role.


• Good command of English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with patients and team members.


• Formal training in nursing or dental assisting recognised within the UK healthcare system.


• Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic health records and appointment systems.


• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically.


• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.


• Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst maintaining attention to detail and professionalism at all times.
