Dental Nurse
Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Nurse and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in a friendly, professional environment. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing patient care and ensuring a smooth operation within our specialist orthodontic practice. As a Dental Nurse, you will assist the orthodontic therapist/ orthodontist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organised environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential for this position.
Duties
- Assist orthodontist and orthodontic therapist during a variety of dental procedures, prepare the dental surgery, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized efficiently in the LDU.
- Provide high\-quality patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout treatment
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, maintaining confidentiality and organization at all times
- Support infection control protocols by sterilizing equipment and maintaining a clean clinical environment
- Communicate clearly with patients, team members, and external providers to facilitate seamless appointment flow
- Monitor patient vital signs as needed and assist with post\-treatment instructions to promote recovery and oral health education
- Organize appointment schedules, manage patient flow, and ensure timely treatment delivery
- Proven experience or training in nursing or dental assisting, with a strong foundation in patient care
- Fluency in English with excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Knowledge of IT systems relevant to healthcare settings for record keeping and appointment management
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy clinical environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating professionalism and empathy and also being able to take initiative when required
- Basic understanding of infection control standards and dental procedures is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed

Pay: £15\.00\-£16\.50 per hour
