Customer Service Team Leader

We’re looking for a Customer Services Team Leader to join our Operations team. In this role, you’ll lead, motivate, and support a team of customer service professionals, ensuring service excellence while driving performance and continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing
As a Customer Services Team Leader, you will take ownership of a team and be accountable for the following responsibilities:
· Manage and motivate your team members to achieve departmental and organisational goals.
· Monitor performance, conduct regular reviews, and identify development and training needs.
· Act as a point of escalation for complex customer queries, complaints, and feedback.
· Analyse processes and identify opportunities to improve call handling and administration efficiency.
· Lead by example and promote a positive, high\-performance team culture.
· Review customer survey feedback and deliver timely, effective resolutions.
· Organise and delegate daily workloads to meet SLAs.
· Support operational continuity, including covering for the Contact Centre Manager when needed.
· Maintain compliance with internal policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
Who we’re looking for
This role is ideal for someone who is people\-focused, driven, and thrives in a fast\-paced environment. You’ll need:
· Previous experience in a team leader or management role, ideally in a customer service or operations environment (desirable).
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
· Experience in performance management, coaching, and developing a team.
· The ability to prioritise, multitask, and manage competing demands effectively.
· A proactive, results\-driven mindset with strong problem\-solving abilities.
· Confidence in handling escalated customer issues and complaints.
· GCSE\-level (or equivalent) Maths and English.
