Credit Controller
Location: Normanton Depot, Foxbridge Way, Normanton Industrial Estate, Normanton, West Yorkshire, WF6 1TW
Salary: Dependent on experience / Competitive

Job Overview

To work flexibly as a member of the Accounts Team and provide a customer focused service to both internal and external customers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Chasing debt via phone, letter and email


• Taking calls on behalf of the Credit Control team


• Processing card payments online


• Issuing final demands and legal notices


• Reconciling accounts


• Dealing with queries and PODs


• Following up on overdue accounts


• Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports


• Liaising with departments internally in relation to overdue payments and query resolution


• Assisting with internal and external audits


• Cash allocation


• Credit checking new customers and setting credit limits


• Other ad\-hoc administration and office duties


• Completing Line Manager or Director requests within the same day or within the provided timescale

Qualifications:

• GCSE in English and Maths


• Confidence with IT and computer packages – Excel essential


• Sage 200 accounting package certificate/experience (desirable)

• Administration experience


• Accounts experience


• Excellent organisational skills


• Good communication skills, written and verbal


• Ability to work efficiently under pressure


• Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction


• A can\-do attitude

• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team


• Ability to ensure work is completed in a timely and effective manner


• Ability to follow company policies and procedures


• Self\-motivated


• Good telephone manner


• A can\-do attitude to work
