We are now looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team at our Doncaster site.
About the Role
This role is primarily focused on credit control, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts while building and maintaining positive relationships with customers. You’ll take ownership of the sales ledger and play a key role in keeping cash flow on track.
Alongside your core responsibilities, you’ll provide support to the wider finance team as needed, helping to ensure the smooth day\-to\-day running of the function.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing the sales ledger and credit control activities
- Chasing outstanding debts via phone, email, and other channels
- Allocating cash and reconciling customer accounts
- Resolving customer queries efficiently and professionally
- Monitoring credit limits and escalating risk where appropriate
- Producing aged debt reports and supporting reporting requirements
- Providing ad hoc support to the Finance Manager where required
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in credit control
- Is confident and professional when discussing payments with customers
- Has strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Is well organised and able to manage their own workload
- Has good IT skills, including Excel and finance systems
- Is a team player who is happy to support the wider finance function when needed
