Dorset Wildlife Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and relationship\-focused Conservation Officer to lead delivery of the Frome Headwaters Chalkstream Restoration Project — one of a national network of flagship chalkstream restoration initiatives.

This exciting role will work with farmers, land managers, partners and local communities across the Upper Frome, River Hooke and Wraxall Brook catchments to deliver nature\-based solutions for biodiversity, river restoration, natural flood management and floodplain recovery.

We are looking for someone with experience of working collaboratively with land managers and partners, strong communication and project management skills, and a good understanding of catchment management, chalkstream ecology and agri\-environment schemes. The successful candidate will help develop practical, workable solutions that support both thriving river ecosystems and resilient farming businesses.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a leading role in restoring Dorset’s internationally important chalkstreams and helping create more space for nature at a landscape scale.

The workplace location is designated as the Kingcombe Centre, however there may be flexibility to work at our Brooklands Farm HQ office.
