Senior Care Assistant - Days
Senior Care Assistant \-Days \- required for our luxury care home ‘Selwood House’ in Charlton Down, Dorchester, Dorset, Part of the Country Court Family.

Hours: Days 44 Hours per week, working weekends on rota (Shift Times 08:00\-20:00 )\- Have to work alternative weekends.
Selwood House Care Home located in Charlton Down near Dorchester accommodates up to 84 residents, and is equipped with state\-of\-the\-art facilities to cater for various care needs. Specialising in residential care, dementia care, and short\-term respite care, Selwood House will provide a warm welcome as soon as you set foot through the door.

ABOUT THE SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT ROLE
Within your role as a Senior Care Assistant, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Aiding residents emotional well\-being and social needs
- Administration and monitoring of medications to residents.
- Supporting residents at meals time
- Mentor \& assist new employees.
- Implement, monitor and review care plans to meet residents specific needs.
- Plan, allocate \& supervise the work of the team of care assistants

- NVQ Level 3 in Health \& Social care or willing to work towards this.
- Experience as a Senior Care Assistant \& leading a team.
- Be no stranger to working night shifts
- Have a friendly \& caring attitude.
- Able to engage well with the residents and their families
- Have an understanding of people with Dementia
- Great communication skills, both written \& verbal.
