- £27,313 pro rata (£36,581 full\-time equivalent)
About the role
Join our team in a new, fixed\-term role, providing operational leadership for three of our community support services (Telephone Support, Compassionate Neighbours, and Support Hubs).
These services offer non\-clinical support in people’s homes, over the phone, or in our Support Hubs, where they can be listened to and directed to the most appropriate support.
As our Community Support Services Manager, you will be:
- Recruitment, management and development of volunteers
- Networking and delivering training to raise awareness of services
- Matching Compassionate Neighbours with Community Members
- Ensuring personal data is collected and stored responsibly
- Processing referrals of Community Members
- Carrying out needs and suitability assessment visits
- Managing income and expenditure budgets
About you
We are looking for a Community Support Services Manager with:
- Experience in social care, healthcare administration or community development
- Experience of managing people (both staff members and volunteers)
- Level 4 diploma or equivalent, in Health and Social Care
- Empathy, strong communication and organisational skills
- UK driving licence and own vehicle (roadworthy and suitably insured)
- The right to work in the UK (we cannot provide sponsorship)
This role will require an enhanced DBS check because you will be managing people in an adult healthcare service. We will arrange and cover the cost of this check if you are offered the role.
Similar job titles include: Community Care Manager; Service Manager; Health Social Care Manager.
