As a Commissioning Manager in Adult Social Care, you will lead a friendly and innovative team focused on strategic commissioning, policy development, and market shaping. Your role will be to think creatively, and talk with people and partners to drive strategies, support and initiatives that promote prevention, equity, and strengths\-based approaches for people over 65 in Nottinghamshire.
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Lead the development and implementation of commissioning strategies.
- Conduct joint strategic needs assessments to inform service delivery.
- Manage staff, contracts, and partnerships to drive high standards.
- Strengthen the evidence base for effective practices in adult social care.
- Champion co\-production and ensure decisions are shaped by the voices of people that draw on care and support.
- Collaborate with health and care partners to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
- A relevant qualification in health or social care, or equivalent experience.
- A solid understanding of community care services and legislation, including the Care Act 2014\.
- At least two years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating effective strategic commissioning and market development.
- Demonstrable evidence of improving outcomes for people in need of care and support.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues, partners, and people who draw on care and support.
- Excellent decision\-making and problem\-solving abilities.
- High levels of personal drive and commitment to high standards of care.
