Commercial Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking an organised and commercially minded Commercial Manager to support the business with estimating, implementation of estimating systems, and commercial support across sales and operations.
This role will play an important part in improving the company’s estimating procedures, supporting the sales team in securing new business opportunities, and helping implement the wider business sales strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate costing, effective commercial processes, and strong customer relationships.

Estimating \& Commercial Support
- Prepare and manage estimates and quotations for projects and tenders.
- Review specifications, drawings, and tender documentation.
- Assist with the implementation and improvement of estimating systems and processes.
- Ensure estimates are accurate, commercially competitive, and aligned with company objectives.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical information.
- Maintain estimating records, cost databases, and reporting systems.
- Support project handovers to operational teams.
- Support the sales team in identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Assist with the implementation of the company’s sales and business development strategy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Attend client meetings and support tender submissions and presentations.
- Help identify market opportunities and areas for commercial growth.
- Support customer relationship management and follow\-up activities.
- Monitor project costs and assist with commercial reporting.
- Work collaboratively with operations, finance, and sales teams.
- Help improve internal commercial procedures and efficiencies.
- Assist with contract administration and commercial documentation.
- Previous experience in estimating, commercial management, or a similar role.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of costing processes.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship\-building abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Self\-motivated with a proactive approach to problem\-solving.

Salary: £35,000 \- £40,000
