Hinckley Plumbing \& Heating Services Ltd (HPHS) is a well\-established, professional plumbing and heating contractor with over 20 years of trading history. We work across commercial and domestic properties, including schools, academies, factories, industrial units and private homes.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Heating \& Plumbing Engineer to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled, gas\-qualified engineer who takes pride in their work, values high standards, and wants to build a long\-term career with a respected local company.
The Role
You'll work mainly on commercial sites, with an element of domestic work, carrying out:
- Installation, repair and maintenance of commercial heating systems and boilers
- General plumbing maintenance, repairs and installations, including radiators, pipework, cylinders and bathrooms
- Reactive and planned maintenance, including routine checks to keep systems safe and performing at their best
- Accurate fault finding and diagnostics using specialist tools and mechanical knowledge
- Reading technical drawings and schematics for precise installation and repair work
- Keeping clear job notes and records of work completed and parts used
- Ensuring all work complies with current building regulations and safety standards
- Delivering excellent customer service, working both independently and as part of a team
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a commercial gas environment
- Proven plumbing and heating experience, with strong mechanical knowledge of boilers, pipework and related equipment
- NVQ Level \[2/3] / City \& Guilds in Plumbing \& Heating or higher
- Domestic Gas: CCN1/DCGS, CENWAT/DCENWAT, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1
- Commercial Gas: BMP1, CDGA1, CIGA1, COCN1, CORT1
- Strong fault\-finding ability and confidence with measurements and system calculations
- Full UK driving licence
- Professional attitude, good communication skills and high levels of customer service
- Oil, Solid Fuel or Catering tickets
- Experience with other fuels or air source heat pumps (ASHPs)
- Experience using smartphone/tablet\-based job scheduling systems (full training provided if needed)
