Coldroom & Refrigeration Contracts Project Manager
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Coldroom \& Refrigeration Contracts Project Manager to join our Central Contracts team in Doncaster, based either at home or within the office dependant on geographical location
You will manage refrigeration and coldroom installation projects from enquiry through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
This role requires strong project coordination, customer communication, subcontractor management, and commercial awareness across multiple live projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage refrigeration and coldroom installation projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials, and site activities.
- Coordinate with the wider business and lead internal team members
- Carry out site surveys, inspections, and progress meetings.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Monitor project programmes, budgets, variations, and profitability.
- Ensure installations meet quality, Health \& Safety, and compliance standards.
- Liaise with customers, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate project records using CRM and reporting systems.
- Support successful commissioning, snagging, and project handovers.
Essential
- Proven experience managing refrigeration and coldroom projects.
- Strong subcontractor and site management experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong problem\-solving and decision\-making ability.
- Competent with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel across the Midlands, including overnight stays.
- Refrigeration engineering background.
- Technical qualification in refrigeration, engineering, or construction management.
- Knowledge of refrigeration legislation and Health \& Safety requirements.
- Team leadership experience
- CSCS, SMSTS, SSSTS, or IOSH qualifications.
