Bluebird Care Dublin South West, a trusted provider of quality home support services is seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our homecare team working as a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM). This opportunity is open to nurses who are already working in a management position, as well as experienced nurses who are looking to take the next step in their career and develop into a CNM role. The successful candidate will support the delivery of safe, high\-quality and person\-centred care to clients in their own homes, while providing clinical leadership and support to the care team. Salary is competitive and based on experience.
About the Role
The CNM will provide clinical leadership, oversight and support to the care team, ensuring that services are delivered in accordance with professional standards, HIQA requirements, company policies and best practice. You will be Office\-based and out on the road only when it matters! This job is Monday to Friday, 8:30 \- 17:00 and can be flexible for the right candidate. This post offers a genuine move into management, with a settled team and an established division.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of safe, effective and person\-centred care in clients' homes
- Complete and oversee assessments, care plans and risk assessment
- Review clients' care needs and ensure care plans are updated in response to changing needs
- Provide clinical guidance, supervision and support to care staff
- Liaise with GPs, Public Health Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, families and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor the quality and safety of care provided and take appropriate action where concerns are identified
- Participate in and support clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and service reviews
- Management of incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and clinical issues
- Support staff induction, training, competency assessment and ongoing development
- Promote compliance with infection prevention and control, medication management, safeguarding and health and safety requirements
- Ensure services operate in line with HIQA standards and relevant regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures and clinical governance systems
- Support the Management team with operational and clinical matters
- Promote a positive culture of professionalism, accountability, dignity and respect
- Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) and a valid NMBI PIN
- Minimum of 2 years’ post\-registration nursing experience
- Knowledge and understanding of HIQA standards and regulatory requirements relevant to homecare and social care services
- Strong clinical assessment and decision\-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong organisational skills
- Ability to provide effective clinical leadership and support to care staff
- Experience in care planning, risk assessment and audits
- Commitment to delivering high\-quality, person\-centred care
- Current eligibility to work in Ireland
- Full clean driving licence OR working towards obtaining a full driving Licence
- Previous Clinical Nurse Manager or nursing management experience is desirable
- Previous homecare/community nursing experience is desirable but not essential
- Experience working with people with disabilities is desirable but not essential
- Experience in safeguarding, incident management and quality improvement
- Experience supervising, supporting and developing healthcare staff
