Description
The Client Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of high\-quality work and exceptional service. This involves managing your own workload, reviewing and allocating tasks to junior team members, and being a role model for the vision, mission, and values of the organisation. The Client Portfolio Manager will focus on delivering work that meets compliance standards, client expectations, and deadlines, while fostering team development and efficient working practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding service to a portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are exceeded.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients to facilitate the smooth completion of tasks and the identification of future business opportunities.
- Manage and oversee an allocated client portfolio, ensuring the delivery of quality work that meets statutory deadlines and compliance requirements.
- Ensure the timely submission of client documentation to meet deadlines.
- Review and oversee the quality of work produced by the team to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
- Provide feedback and identify development areas for junior team members.
- Regularly review client files to ensure high\-quality outputs, highlighting any issues and taking necessary actions for improvement.
- Act as a mentor and support to junior team members, assisting in their professional development.
- Offer guidance and feedback to junior staff, encouraging growth and helping them meet performance expectations.
- Communicate ideas for process improvements to managers, ensuring the team continuously enhances efficiency.
- Ensure effective planning processes are in place to meet client needs and statutory deadlines.
- Assist in researching and preparing proposals for new work.
- Participate in formal presentations to potential clients, representing Xeinadin professionally.
- Ensure that both self and team members adhere to all relevant legal and statutory requirements in every task.
- Follow and implement best practice for legal compliance and audit procedures.
- Record chargeable time accurately and work towards maximising recovery of billable hours.
- Actively contribute to the achievement of business and financial goals.
- Deliver the Xeinadin vision and values in all aspects of work, representing the firm internally and externally in a professional manner.
- Hold client meetings to review performance and set targets.
- Review work for Juniors and assist with their training and development.
- Build strong relationships with professional contacts, e.g. IFA's, solicitors and financial institutions to encourage referrals and access funding and support for clients.
- Manage all aspects of client relationship including, quoting, agreeing services, invoicing, payment method and annual engagement renewal.
- Report to the Partner/Director.
- Assist in the production of Accounts and Corporate Tax Returns for Clients.
- ICAEW, ACCA or IFA fully qualified.
- Extensive audit experience with a wide range of clients, from small businesses to larger enterprises.
- Strong understanding of statutory regulations and compliance requirements.
- Commercially aware, with a keen understanding of client requirements and industry best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with both clients and team members.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in managing and mentoring junior team members.
- Ability to give clear feedback and support the development of team members.
- Organised, detail\-focused, and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Proactive, decisive, and adaptable to changing client needs and work environments.
- Ambitious with a resilient mindset and a drive for continuous improvement.
