S. Stibbards \& Sons Limited, Funeral Directors is seeking a Funeral Consultant / Arranger to act as a first and subsequent point of call for bereaved families to guide them through the process of arranging a funeral for their loved one.

The role is Client facing and based at one of the Company’s locations within the Castle Point, Rochford and Southend areas and will also involve showing Clients into the Chapel of Rest and some degree of manual handling.

You will need to be both a sole and Team player as whilst lone working is a requirement of this role, each of our professional Team are an essential and intrinsic element of ensuring an exemplary service to those in our care. On occasion, you will be required to attend out of office hours events within the Community.

Candidates are required to possess a proven track record of:\-

  • Excellent administration and communication skills

  • The ability to manage their own time both efficiently and effectively ensuring the prioritisation of tasks dependent upon multiple timelines being both managed and achieved

  • Excellent communication skills demonstrating an empathetic nature and the ability to listen intently, being mindful of a Client’s individual circumstances and the ability to ensure the pertinent details for their loved one in our care are implemented

  • Attention to detail in all elements of each and every Client arrangement to ensure a high quality service

  • Participate if required in out of hours call handling duties

  • Good I.T. skills, including the use of a desktop computer, emails, correspondence and CRM software
Intensive training will be provided from the outset to the successful candidate along with regular performance reviews thereafter whilst in your probationary period and beyond.

It is reasonably expected that upon successful completion of the probationary period the successful candidate will complete the Company’s designated professional qualification to further underpin both theoretical comprehension and practical continuous learning.

The role is Monday – Friday inclusive, 9\.00am – 5\.00pm with a willingness and ability to work longer hours as is operationally necessary, for which overtime will be paid.

In addition, the role requires attendance at our HQ at Rayleigh Weir, Benfleet on one Saturday in four for the hours of 9\.00am – 1\.00pm inclusive.
