Job Title: Cleaning Operative

Location: Eastgate Shopping Centre

Pay Rate: £12\.94

Hours: 43\.5 hours per week

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Cleaner to join our team within a busy shopping centre environment. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and enjoys working as part of a team to create a safe, welcoming, and pleasant environment for customers, retailers, and staff.

As a Shopping Centre Cleaner, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the centre are maintained to a high standard, including public areas, service areas, and facilities. You will play an important role in supporting the smooth day\-to\-day operation of the centre by keeping the environment clean, tidy, and presentable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout the shopping centre


• Collect, sort, and dispose of waste correctly, including separating recyclable materials into designated recycling receptacles for collection


• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the service road and operational areas


• Clean and maintain public toilet facilities to a high hygiene standard


• Monitor and respond to cleaning requirements throughout the centre


• Ensure cleaning tasks are completed safely and efficiently in line with company procedures


• Maintain a clean and organised working environment


• Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or concerns to the appropriate team members


• Complete any other reasonable cleaning\-related tasks as required

About You:

• Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering excellent standards


• Able to work independently and as part of a team


• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic


• Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment


• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
