What you’ll be doing
------------------------

• To lead and manage the daily operations of the Chromatography Department


• Maintain excellent service levels for clients/members


• Support the Team Manager in efficient resource allocation


• Manage the equipment and assets of the department


• Manage costs and support the department in meeting financial metrics


• Working with co\-oridnators to oversee daily chromatography laboratory operations


• Review and improve existing workflows and operational efficiency

• Experience of leading laboratory operations in a chromatography laboratory including experience in managing team supervisors / co\-ordinators


• Wide experience of chromatography techniques within a food testing environment including but not limited to GC\-MS\-TOF, LC\-MS/MS, GC\-MS/MS, HS\-GC\-MS \& GC\-MS


• Understanding of the analytical and quality requirements for the analysis of contaminants and nutritional components


• Demonstrate experience in the application of continuous improvement principles to deliver operational improvements


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills


• Experienced in the requirements of the ISO 17025 standard


• Science related degree (Chemistry degree would be an advantage)
