About Us

We are looking for energetic, authentic, and therapeutically minded carers who are genuinely committed to improving the lives of children and young people, to join our small, expanding team in Nottingham.

We are not a typical care provider. Our home is built on a holistic, child\-centred, and trauma\-informed approach that places young people at the heart of everything we do. Equally, we value our team of caring adults, supporting them to develop, reflect, and thrive in their roles through strong leadership, quality learning and development, and genuine investment in their wellbeing and career progression.

We are seeking people to join our team who share our ethos, our therapeutic approach and our drive for positive outcomes, and who believe that meaningful relationships, consistency, and emotional safety are the foundations of effective care for children.

The Role

*Does not support Visa Sponsorship to overseas applicants. Right to Work 38 hours per week is essential*

As a Residential Care Worker, you will:

  • Provide consistent, nurturing, and therapeutic care within a nurturing home environment

  • Build trusting relationships that support emotional understanding, resilience, and growth

  • Work collaboratively as part of a reflective and supportive team

  • Support young people in education, daily routines, and community activities

  • Contribute to care planning, recording, and safeguarding in line with and best practice and Quality Standards.
The Ideal Candidate

We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who can demonstrate:

  • A sound understanding of the Children Act 1989 and Children’s Homes Regulations \& Quality Standards (2015\)

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (achieved or willingness to work towards)

  • At least 1 year’s experience working with children in residential care or supporting vulnerable young people

  • A genuine interest in promoting emotional wellbeing, and therapeutic practice

  • The ability to act as a safe, inspiring, and consistent role model

  • Emotional resilience, adaptability, and a calm, reflective approach under pressure

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and sleep\-ins

  • A positive, solution\-focused approach with a “can\-do” mindset

  • Ambition for career development and progression within a therapeutic care setting
What We Offer
  • A supportive, values\-led working environment

  • Regular training, supervision, and reflective practice

  • Competitive pay \-Unlike many providers who pay a flat sleep\-in rate (often around £50 per night), we pay your normal hourly rate for sleeping night shifts. This means you are paid fairly for every hour you are at work.

  • The chance to be part of a small, stable team where your contribution truly matters

  • The opportunity to make a real and lasting difference in young people’s lives
If you are passionate about therapeutic care, value relationships over routines, and want to work somewhere that truly invests in both children and staff, we would love to hear from you.

If this sounds like a role you’d be interested in, we’d love to hear from you. Please apply via Indeed and include a copy of your CV with your application.
