What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 in Health \& Social Care or Children \& Young People’s Workforce (essential)
- Experience in residential childcare (essential)
- Understanding of Ofsted standards (preferred)
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)

- Full\-time, rota\-based (including alternate weekends)
- 15\-hour shifts (7am – 10pm)
- Salary: £39,000 per year (based on 3 shifts per week \+ 2 sleep\-ins)
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing high\-quality care and support to children and young people within a residential setting. You will help create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where young people can develop confidence, independence, and positive life skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
- Build positive relationships with young people, families, and external professionals
- Promote the emotional wellbeing, safeguarding, education, and independence of young people
- Lead shifts effectively and support the day\-to\-day running of the home
- Maintain accurate records, incident reports, and safeguarding documentation in line with company policies and Ofsted standards
- Ensure the home is clean, safe, and maintained to a high standard
- Support and mentor junior staff, leading by example with professionalism and positive practice
- Work closely with management to address concerns and achieve positive outcomes for young people
- Participate in meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
