Clinical Team Secretary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the Admin Team at Sherwood Oaks in the role of Clinical Team Secretary to the Consultant Psychiatrists, Specialist Doctors, Resident Doctors, Clinical Psychologists and Advanced Practitioners at Sherwood Oaks Inpatient Unit.
Sherwood Oaks Hospital is an acute adult mental health hospital supporting male and female adults from 18 \- 65 in a secure setting. For personal safety ALL members of staff are required to carry a personal alarm and keys when visiting areas outside of the main Admin Office (where this position is based). Personal alarms are provided as needed.
As a member of the administration team, you will ensure a high\-quality and efficient administration service is provided to the Clinical Team. You will be required to have good written and verbal communication skills, have excellent skills in Microsoft Office packages and have experience of working in a busy office environment.
The post holder will provide an effective and efficient administrative service for Consultant Psychiatrists, Specialist Doctors, Resident Doctors, Clinical Psychologists and Advanced Practitioners which will include: \-
formatting/typing reports for MHA Tribunal/Appeal hearings, liaising with the Clinical team and MHA to arrange Hearing/Appeal dates; Diary Management of the clinical team; dealing with internal/external mail to the Clinical team; maintaining spreadsheets detailing all MHA activity in relation to Tribunal/Appeal hearings; typing and submitting referrals from the clinical team to General Hospital for Medical Conditions/Test requests; Providing any other admin support requested by the Clinical Team or Admin Team Leader
The Clinical Team Secretary will work alongside other members of the administrative team for the Inpatient Mental Health teams including covering Inpatient Secretary duties/cross cover for meetings and board reviews.

Duties will include; providing a high quality secretarial support service to the Consultant Psychiatrists, Specialist Doctors, Resident Doctors, Clinical Psychologists and Advanced Practitioners.
The successful candidate will:
- Be highly presentable with strong communication and people skills
- Be able to type and format tribunal reports
- Have a knowledge of office management and basic administrative processes
- Have good organisational and multi\-tasking abilities

- Be confident with Microsoft Office and all associated packages (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health \& Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health \& Care visa.
