Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others, particularly children, and will play a vital role in providing support and assistance in daily activities. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans to ensure the well\-being of those we support.
Duties
- Provide direct support to children, assisting them with daily living activities and personal care.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring they are followed accurately.
- Foster a safe and nurturing environment for children, promoting their emotional and physical well\-being.
- Maintain clear communication with children, families, and other professionals involved in the care process.
- Assist with transportation needs, including using public transport / driving children to appointments or activities as required.
- Utilise IT skills to document progress, maintain records, and communicate effectively within the team.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Previous experience working with children is essential; experience in childcare settings is highly desirable.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with children and families.
- Familiarity with creating and following care plans is advantageous.
