Logistics Manager – Skip Company

We are looking for a full\-time Logistics Manager to join our busy skip company based in Dagenham.

This is a hands\-on role managing the day\-to\-day operations of the business and ensuring the smooth running of the transport office and drivers. Training will be provided on our systems and processes.

Working Hours:
Monday to Saturday

Main Duties Include:

• Planning and organising drivers’ daily routes


• Scheduling skip deliveries, exchanges and collections


• Checking and monitoring vehicle defect reports


• Booking jobs onto the system (full training provided)


• Answering customer phone calls and dealing with enquiries


• Taking customer payments


• Completing end\-of\-day totals and paperwork


• Supporting the smooth running of the office and transport operation

• Good organisational skills


• Ability to work in a fast\-paced environment


• Strong communication and customer service skills


• Good telephone manner


• Basic computer skills


• Ability to manage workloads and prioritise tasks


• Experience within transport/logistics is preferred but not essential

• Full\-time permanent position
