We are expanding and looking for committed, compassionate individuals to join our residential childcare team within our children’s homes. These permanent roles offer stability, professional development, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people.

(Must be minimum 21 years old to apply. We are currently unable to support visa sponsorships).

Applicants MUST clearly state which role they are applying for. Please do not apply if your intention is to work part\-time (Full time applicants will only be considered).

All applicants should regularly check for messages and respond promptly, as we are currently fast\-tracking successful candidates to start within the next few weeks before Christmas.

A UK driving licence is preferred, but exceptional non\-drivers will still be considered at interview stage.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, though we can arrange a new DBS check if required.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS (FULL\-TIME, PERMANENT)

2 x Residential Care Practitioners (Daytime \+ Sleep\-In Shifts)

  • 40 hours per week (8 hour shifts)

  • Mix of AM/PM shifts and sleep\-in duties

  • Sleep\-ins paid at £40 per night

  • Must be able to work weekends, bank holidays, including Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, and other bank holidays as required
1 x Night Awake Worker
  • Permanent rolling rota:

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday

  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

  • 10\-hour shifts

  • 30 hours one week / 40 hours the next, depending on monthly rotation

  • Must be able to work bank holidays, including Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, and other bank holidays as required
2 x Senior Residential Care Practitioners

We are seeking confident, resilient and skilled practitioners to take on senior responsibilities within our children’s home. You must have experience working with children or in a residential children’s home.

Applicants who have not previously held a senior title but have strong Residential Care Practitioner (RCP) experience will still be considered and are encouraged to apply.

  • Must be able to work bank holidays, including Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, and other bank holidays as required
Senior Responsibilities Include:
  • Completing and overseeing care plans and some risk assessments that require submission to the Deputy Home Manager (DHM) or Registered Home Manager (RHM) for approval/sign\-off, along with other key documentation and record\-keeping

  • Ensuring RCP staff tasks are completed correctly, consistently and within required timescales

  • Providing strong, confident shift leadership and modelling high standards of professional practice

  • Supporting staff with safeguarding, daily routines, de\-escalation and behaviour support

  • Communicating effectively and professionally with the DHM and RHM regarding updates, concerns, incidents and actions

  • Completing delegated tasks and actions from management in a timely and thorough manner

  • Supporting the development of the home, contributing to team progression and assisting with Ofsted compliance and requirements

  • Maintaining consistent, accurate and high\-quality logs, reports and records in line with policies and expectations

  • Demonstrating resilience, calm problem\-solving, and the ability to lead and support a team during challenging situations
JOB SUMMARY

You will provide high\-quality residential care to young people by delivering a range of supportive, developmental and safeguarding interventions. This includes promoting independence, emotional wellbeing, life skills and positive behaviour, while ensuring all physical, emotional, educational, cultural and psychological needs are met.

You will work as part of a team using a therapeutic, trauma\-informed approach, helping young people to feel safe, heard and supported.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide a nurturing, safe and supportive environment that meets the full care needs of young people.

  • Build positive, trusting and professional relationships with children and young people.

  • Support assessment processes, contribute to care planning, assist in implementation and participate in regular reviews of care plans.

  • Work with families and carers, where appropriate, to strengthen relationships and support positive outcomes.

  • Maintain a warm, welcoming and stimulating home environment, including undertaking domestic tasks when required.

  • Attend meetings (e.g. court, child protection conferences, planning meetings and reviews) when required, with support and guidance.

  • Maintain high\-standard written case notes, daily logs, incident reports and other documentation, in line with company policies and expectations.

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with young people, families, colleagues and external professionals/agencies.

  • Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times and report any concerns immediately and appropriately.

  • Lead shifts when required in the absence of more senior staff, ensuring routines are followed and standards maintained.

  • Assist with petty cash management and ensure accurate financial recording according to policies and procedures.

  • Support home development tasks and specific projects as directed by the Home Manager or management team.

  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements and relevant legislation.

  • Complete all mandatory and ongoing training, keeping up\-to\-date with legislation, guidance and best practice, including trauma\-informed practice.

  • Work at all times in line with Ofsted requirements and the organisation’s core values, putting the needs, safety and wellbeing of young people at the centre of your practice.
