We are looking for caring, resilient and committed Residential Support Workers to join our specialist Solo Placement Bungalows in Sutton Coldfield.
This is an opportunity to work within a dedicated service supporting young people with complex emotional, behavioural and mental health needs. Our aim is to provide safe, nurturing environments where young people can build positive relationships, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping young people feel safe, valued and supported.
You will work closely with young people on a daily basis, helping them to develop life skills, build positive relationships and achieve their individual goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
- Supporting young people with their daily routines and care plans
- Delivering key work sessions
- Supporting education attendance and achievement
- Facilitating and supervising family contact
- Encouraging participation in activities, hobbies and community engagement
- Maintaining accurate records and reports
- Attending meetings and contributing to care planning
- Supporting with household tasks to maintain a warm and welcoming home environment
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people
Residential childcare can be one of the most rewarding careers, but it can also be one of the most challenging.
The young people we support have often experienced significant trauma and may present with complex emotional, behavioural and mental health needs. There will be times when young people are distressed, dysregulated or in crisis and require intensive support from staff.
As part of your role, you may be required to manage challenging situations, utilise approved physical intervention techniques when necessary and support young people through difficult periods while maintaining a calm, consistent approach.

- Applicants must be aged 22 or over in line with Ofsted regulations
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience working with children and young people
- Experience within residential childcare, education, youth work, supported accommodation, mental health services or related sectors
