We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our catering services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse team, ensure food safety standards, and create memorable dining experiences for our clients. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining high standards of food quality, and ensuring smooth operational workflows.

Duties

Commercial Growth and Financial Performance

  • Drive revenue growth through proactive sales initiatives, upselling, promotional activity and partnership opportunities.
2\. Memorable Guest Experiences and Brand Reputation
  • Create exceptional and memorable dining experiences that encourage repeat visits and positive word\-of\-mouth recommendations.

  • Champion outstanding customer service standards across all touchpoints.

  • Ensure the restaurant reflects the organisation's values, brand and unique sense of place.

  • Develop innovative experiences, events and offers that enhance customer engagement and loyalty.

  • Proactively manage guest feedback and use insights to continually improve the visitor experience.
3\. Strategic Development and Business Planning
  • Support the development and delivery of the restaurant's strategic objectives and growth plans.

  • Identify opportunities to expand markets, attract new audiences and increase customer spend.

  • Work collaboratively with marketing, events and wider organisational teams to deliver integrated commercial initiatives.

  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to ensure the restaurant remains relevant and competitive.

  • Lead continuous improvement projects that enhance efficiency, customer satisfaction and commercial performance.
4\. Leadership and People Development
  • Recruit, train, inspire and retain a high\-performing team.

  • Foster a positive, inclusive and customer\-focused culture.

  • Set clear objectives and expectations, providing regular feedback and development opportunities.

  • Manage staffing levels and rotas to ensure operational effectiveness and excellent customer service.

  • Lead by example, promoting professionalism, accountability and teamwork.
5\. Operational Excellence, Compliance and Standards
  • Oversee the day\-to\-day operation of the restaurant, ensuring consistency, quality and efficiency.

  • Maintain the highest standards of food service, presentation, cleanliness and hospitality.

  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, licensing, health and safety and employment legislation.

  • Manage stock, suppliers and resources effectively to support operational and commercial goals.

  • Continuously review systems and processes to improve productivity and service delivery.

  • Identify and develop new income streams, including private dining, events, corporate hospitality, themed experiences and seasonal offers.

  • Monitor and analyse sales performance, customer trends and market conditions to inform business decisions.

  • Manage budgets, labour costs, stock control and purchasing to maximise profitability and achieve financial targets.

  • Contribute to the long\-term commercial sustainability and growth of the restaurant.
Requirements
  • Proven management experience within a restaurant or catering environment.

  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative work environment.

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.

  • Experience in managing budgets, inventories, and procurement processes is advantageous. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead a vibrant catering team while delivering outstanding culinary experiences in a fast\-paced environment.
Pay: £35,000\.00 per year
