Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of a reputable care home specialising in assisted living and senior care. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high\-quality care, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a team of care professionals. A strong background in nursing home management, dementia care, and medication administration is essential to support residents with diverse needs, including Alzheimer’s care. Duties
- Oversee the overall management and smooth running of the care home, ensuring excellent standards of care are maintained at all times.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to individual resident needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
- Supervise and lead a team of care staff, providing guidance, training, and support to promote professional development and high levels of service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to nursing, medication administration, health \& safety, and safeguarding.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to facilitate medical appointments, medication management, and specialised nursing interventions.
- Monitor resident wellbeing and respond promptly to any concerns or incidents, maintaining detailed records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage operational aspects such as staffing rotas, budgets, and resource allocation to optimise efficiency.
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life for all residents.
- Proven management experience within a care home setting or similar senior care environment.
- Extensive knowledge of assisted living services, nursing home operations, dementia care, and Alzheimer’s support strategies.
- Experience in developing and implementing personalised care plans aligned with best practices in senior and home care.
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or managerial experience in healthcare settings.
- Competence in medication administration and understanding of relevant health \& safety regulations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
